Macros for guild wars 2UPDATED: 22.09.2019 13:45

Guild Wars 2 is one of the best MMO RPGS in the market today, hence it is also one of the most played games right now, but it is not without flaws.

Guild Wars Macro

Among many other Guild Wars 2 can suffer from poor performance or poor connectivity and can even have launch problems.

Guild Wars 2 Lag , Latency & Ping Problems

If you face any of these issues then this guide will have an answer to your problems.

Guild Wars 2 Crashes

One of the most annoying game problems I have ever seen is the Guild War 2 crashes.

What makes them specially annoying is that the players gets an error message in game, then gets disconnected and finally the game crashes and the players sees nothing but a black screen.
Lots of players have to deal with this by forcing their pcs to shut down, restart them and re open the game, but its not the most efficient solution.

There are two reasons this can happen:

The firstis your Firewall blocking incoming data to Guild Wars 2. If this is the case then adding Guild Wars 2 to the “trusted” programs list on your firewall should fix the issue.

The other reason this may happen is that your pc just doesn’t have enough resources to deal with Guild Wars 2. If this is the case, you might want to upgrade your pc, however if you know your pc has the necessary resources to run Guild War 2 then it might just be a maintenance issue.

Cleaning up temporary Internet files and other junk files, cleaning and repairing the Windows registry, flushing your DNS, eliminating unnecessary startup items, and defragmenting the registry might just be all you need to do to stop Guild Wars 2 from crashing again.
You can do all those things manually or you can just get a program like “Latency Optimizer” to do them for you, I would recommend using this tool since the process will be much faster and safer this way than messing with files manually.

Guilds War 2 Windows 10 Graphics Issues

There are multiple issues that can cause poor performance on Windows 10, one of them is Razer’s Synapse Data Tracking.
To disable Data Tracking you will need to:
• Go to C:ProgramDataRazerSynapseProductUpdatesUninstallersRzStats.
Run the uninstaller from that folder and you should be able to remove Razer Synapse data tracking.
• There have been problems with DirectX, which can be solve much faster.
Just head to DirectX’s website, download an install the latest DirectX version.
• Nvidia users tend to suffer from crashes while playing Guild Wars 2 in fullscreen mode, this can be specially annoying considering that’s how everyone prefers to game.
The best quick fix is to go into Guild Wars 2 in game settings, and switch the display mode from “Fullscreen” to “Borderless Window Mode”. Sure its not really fullscreen but it will feel almost like it.

If the Borderless solution is not enough for you then you can set a repair parameter to the game, to do this you will need to follow this steps:

Find Guild Wars 2 shortcut and right click it. Choose Properties.
Find the Target field. In the Target field there should be a path to the game’s installation directory. By default it should be: “C:Program Files (x86)Guild Wars 2Gw2.exe”, but it might be different on your computer.
Now add -repair parameter after the quotes in the Target field. Your Target field should look like this: “C:Program Files (x86)Guild Wars 2Gw2.exe” -repair.
Save the changes and start the game using the shortcut.
After you start the game it will scan your game files for any missing or corrupted files and replace them. Keep in mind that this process might take a while, up to an hour, sometimes even more.
After the repair has been performed you can go ahead and remove the repair parameter (-repair).

Guild Wars 2 Not Launching On Mac

Mac Users are having problems even launching the game, the fix however was addressed by Guild Wars 2 Game Masters.

Guild wars 1 for mac

To fix this issue on Mac computers they have given this set of steps:

Go to your GW2 application. Right-click and choose 'Show Package Contents'
Navigate Contents -> Resources -> transgaming -> c_drive -> GW2
Rename gw2.exe to oldgw2.exe
Rename gw2.tmp to gw2.exe
Launch GW2.

One of the few games that actually runs on Mac… Refuses to launch.

Guild Wars 2 Poor Connectivity

Mac

Any online game needs a smooth and stable connection, and Guild Wars 2 is no exception.
Guild Wars 2 primarily uses port 6112, which is a default port for online gaming. Changing it may lead to another route being taken and hopefully possibly avoiding package loss.

You can change it via the command line in the properties of your gw2.exe shortcut. If you do not have one go to your Guild Wars 2 folder, right click gw2.exe and create shortcut.

Now right click the shortcut and select properties. You will see an input text called target.

For Example:
'C:GamesGuild Wars 2Gw2.exe'
Obviously you may have a different path. Just add –clientport:80.
'C:GamesGuild Wars 2Gw2.exe' -clientport:80
Port 80 is the default HTTP port and should be less crowded than 6112. If this doesn't help you may also try Port 443, which is the default port for HTTPs.

Just like when we talked about poor pc performance this kind of tweak can be done manually but I strongly suggest getting “Latency Optimizer 4.0” since it will not only configure your pc resource efficiently but also this sort of internet connections.

This way you won’t be at risk of tweaking something off.

And that is it for our Guild Wars 2 guide, you can apply any of this fixes and get some instant results.
